    GREGORY SCOTT EATON, 60, passed away at his residence in Kansas City, Mo. on June 30, 2014 after a two month illness. Born in St. Louis County, Missouri on January 1, 1954 to Lloyd Dorris Eaton and the former Wanda Victoria Elwood, Greg attended Villa Marie and Hazelwood High Schools. At 18, he joined the U.S. Marines spending time in Japan. Greg worked for many years for his father's construction business, in addition to numerous and diversified professions, including asphalt, sealing, building, tennis courts and running tracks, painting, laying underground cable, exterior painting and roofing. He enjoyed fishing, television wrestling, cooking, rock music and backyard barbecues. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd and an uncle, Mack Elwood III. He is survived by his mother, Wanda Purviance, St. Peters, Mo.; three brothers, Daniel Allen (Sharon) Murphy, Columbia, Ill.; Terry LaMont (Ardyth) Eaton, Lyman, Wyo.; and Kenton Lloyd (Pamela) Eaton, St. Louis, Mo.; two nieces, Starla Dawn Oxford, Lyman, Wyo.; Rachel Colleen Victoria (Blaise) Azzara, St. Louis, Mo.; and a nephew Michael Colin (Kurt Ross) Murphy, O'Fallon, Illinois. He is also survived by an aunt, Angela Candela Elwood, of Indiana and two great uncles Paul (Wanda) Hanson of Bowling Green, Mo. and Donald (Velma) Hanson of Laddonia, Mo. Dear Cousin, Great Uncle, Great Great Uncle and Friend. A private inurnment will be held at Concord Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Bowling Green at the family plot on Saturday, July 12 followed by a family meal at the Curryville Baptist Church. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Concord Presbyterian Cemetery Association.
