Halvard Lintvedt was born to Sjur Lintvedt and Amborg Rømeke. He had brothers Hjalmar and Johannes and sister Petra. Both brothers remained in Norway. Halvard married Ida C Eriksen on December 8, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. They had a daughter, Dinny. He petitioned for naturalization in the United States in 1931 in Massachusetts. After finishing college, Halvard was a superintendent in a factory. Later, he was was the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board of Palm Beach Shores. See Halvard Lintvedt: Obituary.

The following obituary appeared in The Palm Beach Post on Thursday, December 13, 1973: HALVARD LINTVEDT Mr. Lintvedt, age 70, of 105 Paradise Harbour Blvd., N. Palm Beach passed away December 12, 1973. Mr. Lintvedt was a former Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Board of Palm Beach Shores. Survivors include His wife, Eda of N. Pallm Beach; 2 brothers in Norway; 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. at The Hamm & Price Funeral home in N. Palm Beach.
