In 1909, in the year that Hanse Sattler was born, explorer Robert Peary, a Rear Admiral in the U.S. Navy, claimed to have been the first to have reached the geographic North Pole. In 1935, this person was 26 years old when the BOI's name (the Bureau of Investigation) was changed to the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and it officially became a separate agency with the Department of Justice. In 1956, at the age of 47 years old, Hanse was alive when this was the year that the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, became an international sensation. Elvis scandalized adults and thrilled teens.
In 1978, at the age of 69 years old, Hanse was alive when on July 25th, Louise Brown, the first "test-tube baby", was born at Oldham Hospital in London. Louise was conceived through IVF (in vitro fertilization), a controversial and experimental procedure at the time.
