Harold "Pat" C Tolliver of Uniontown, Stark County, Ohio was born on January 16, 1915 in Buchtel, Athens County to James David Tolliver and Martha Lee (Sturgill) Tolliver. He had siblings Marcia T Dow, Bert Tolliver, Max Willard Tolliver, Betty T Polk, Donald D Tolliver, and Clyde Tolliver. Harold "Pat" Tolliver died at age 92 years old on February 2, 2007 in Akron, Summit County.

    Harold C. (Pat) Tolliver Harold C. (Pat) Tolliver, 92, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Akron General Medical Center. Born to the late James and Martha (Sturgill) Tolliver on January 16, 1915 in Buchtel, Ohio, he had been an area resident for many years. He was employed by Goodyear Tire and Rubber in the Air Foam Division until 1964 and then by United Foam until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Firestone Park Presbyterian Church and had been a graduate of the Goodyear Squadron. Pat was proud to be a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He saw action on Iwo Jima and had attained the rank of Captain. He was also an avid golfer and never lost his love of cooking from his days in the Air Force. Mr. Tolliver is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred; son, Dale M. of Portland, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Anthony Bisesi of Green; grandchildren, Tony (Kristine) Bisesi, Tami (Brian) Flenner and Jill and Lisa Tolliver; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Justin, Kaleb, Erin, Paige, Ryan and Logan. He was also preceded in death by his beloved son, William in 1990; six brothers; and two sisters and would wistfully referred to himself as the last leaf on the tree. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. at the Anthony and Biscan Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Road (Corner of Steese and Massillon Roads in Green). The family will receive friends TODAY 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Firestone Park Presbyterian Church, 275 S. Firestone Blvd., Akron, Ohio 44301. He was a powerful and controversial figure in Louisiana politics (and probably gained power through multiple criminal acts). His opponents became frustrated with their attempts to oust him and Dr. Weiss was the son-in-law of one of those opponents. His funeral was attended by 200,000 mourners.
