    Harold Irving Beckelman was born to Charles Clarence Beckelman (1896-1940) and Mary Emily Lane (1899-1997) and had four brothers and two sisters including Frederick R. (1918-1964), John Clarence (1919-1992), Charles Carl (1921-1996), Francis J. (1926-1941) and Maude Beckelman (1928-1994). He was born in Staten Island and was raised in Richmond and Rockland New York. He enlisted in the United States military on April 27th, 1943 and served during World War II. Harold worked as a warehouse manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb Company in New Brunswick for 34 years, was married to Dorthy Furber Beckelman and had daughters Dianne and June, and sons Kevin and Robert.

    Harold I. Beckelman, 78, of Jackson, died Saturday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a warehouse manager for Bristol-Myers Squibb Co., New Brunswick, for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II Army veteran. Born in Staten Island, he lived in Toms River before moving to Jackson in 1980. he was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Furber Beckelman, in 1987; and a daughter, Dianne Wasserman, in 1996. Surviving are two sons, Kevin of Toms River, and Robert of Hamilton Square; a daughter, June Morrisey of Jackson; a sister, Arlene of Florida; five grand children; and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invitied to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at DeBow-Leber Funeral Home, 150 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson. A service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
