Harold Wayne Boruff was born to Clayton Carl Boruff (born 1908) and Georgie White (born 1913). Both parents were born in Tennessee. He had two sisters, one of whom was Joan Arlene Boruff (1935 - 1936). A veteran of the United States Army, Harold enlisted in 1948 and was discharged in 1952. Harold Boruff married Ethel Almeda Blanton (1937 - 2004) about 1955. They had children Alan, Scott, and Todd Boruff.
