Harry George Rekemeier was born August 11, 1913 in Roselle or Elizabeth, NJ. His parents were Henry G.Rekemeier and Anna Behring Rekemeier. He had a younger sister, Ruth. He graduated from Officer's Candidate School, Class #69 Twenty- Fourth Company. He was commissioned 9/15/1942 at Ft. Benning, GA. He served in the United States Army in Europe and Iceland during WWII and was discharged as a Captain following the war. He married Margaret Florence Jack of Roselle Park, NJ on September 19, They had three children, Karen , born in1947, and twins, Jack and Nancy, born in1949.
