  • Introduction

    Loved his 8 children with all his heart. Worked in the Coal Mines. Loved to fish and hunt. The last 40 years of his life he was denied his children and grandchildren because of the wicked woman he married after his son Harry's death. But he got to see all his girl on his deathbed and his was filled with joy that day. His word "God is so good to me, I got to see all my girls today." He loved the Lord and spoke his name to everyone he met. His children and their Mother his first wife loved him dearly. He is missed but we know we will all be a family in heaven one day soon.

In 1941, in the year that Harry Thomas Ayers was born, in his State of the Union address on January 6th, President Roosevelt detailed the "four freedoms" that everyone in the world should have: Freedom of speech, Freedom of worship, Freedom from want, and Freedom from fear. In the same speech, he outlined the benefits of democracy which he said were economic opportunity, employment, social security, and the promise of "adequate health care".

In 1951, Harry was only 10 years old when on April 5th, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg (husband and wife) were sentenced to death for treason. They were executed on June 19th. American citizens, they were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. Their two young sons were adopted by a high school teacher and his wife.
