    Harley, age 45, told the 1950 Federal census that he was working as an aeronautical engineer at NACA - National Advisory Committee on Aeronautics. He retired from NASA in 1955 and had served as the assistant director of NACA.

    Hartley Akin Soule was born on August 19th, 1904 in Bronx, New York City, to Henry Percy Soule (1870 - 1939) and Lillian May Kleinhans (1875 - 1960) and he had siblings Robert, born 1900, and John, born 1902. Hartley Soule married Anne Louise Watson (1904 - 1995) on November 20th, 1929 and they had one daughter, Marianne, and one son, Samuel. He was survived by seven grandchildren. Harley was a life member of the Hampton Kiwanis Club and worked with the Boy Scouts as a locater and developer of campsites.

My name was Hattie Anne Topping at birth my name is Hattie Anne Singleton now my brother name is Parker Bennett Topping we call him Benny
I miss my grandparents very much I find myself always looking back at the times I spent with them granddaddy would show me tricks making quarters disappear he showed me how to play games on paper he would take me to his office we're air plans we're hanging from the ceiling I saw pictures of him and important people like the president my grandfather was so smart and Highly intelligent my grandmother Anne Soule called him gus that was his nickname I have a lot of wonderful memories of my grandparents I would stay the night with my grandmother when granddaddy would go out of town
