my great grandmother
When I was little, I was always at my grandmother's house Bertha Bosket-Mayle -Harrison- Whitmarsh. My grandmother was married 3 times the last being Whitmarsh. My great grandma Bosket lived with my grandma Whitmarsh. She was married (Welch) once before marrying Ernest Bosket. She was always active, moving around baking and cooking dinner. I helped her do some of the cleaning of the house, gardening hanging the wash on the outdoor clothesline, and when she sat down, she was always crocheting blankets. She was right-handed and as I was left-handed; I would just watch her; she was fast too. sometimes she would talk about her husband Ernest Bosket (he passed away June22,1970) I only remember this because it was my 3rd birthday. Anyway, she would always talk about them riding in the horse and buggy, and the places they would travel to relative's friend's neighbors etc... I got to really know my great grandmother. When she alive we always had family reunions; the last being 1984 on her 94th birthday in August. I got to meet my many older cousins from this side of the family. I miss my great-grandmother and grandmother.
