I am Catherine Yonke, 84 year old daughter of the late Helen Cocoris who was born in Greece and came to this country in the late 1880's. Her maiden name is Vasiliou.
My father, John Cocoris, came to this country before my mother - they were not married nor knew each other at the time. While John was in Birmimngham, AL, my
mother's niece, also in Birmingham, asked John if he would marry Helen. John sent her a proposal with money - she came to this country - got married in Birmikngham, had 2 sons and 2 daughter - moved dto PNesacola,FL, and had one more adaughter, me. My dad, John, died 7/22/1950, age 69 or 70. My mother died March 1985.
