    Helen Irene Camren Alexander Herron Feb 26, 1921 – Feb 24, 2013 Helen joined her family in Heaven on Feb 24, 2013. She was surrounded by her family at home. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest, of 49 years; one son; three daughters; two grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy with husband Jim Dunbar, and Linda with husband Richard Denker; 13 grandkids; 30 great-grandkids; and 17 great-great-grandkids; for a total of 60 grandchildren. She was a homemaker who loved life, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all family. Services will be Thursday, Feb 28th, 10:00 AM at Sunny Lane Funeral Home.

In 1921, in the year that Helen Irene Camren was born, hugely popular Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, silent film star, was arrested for rape and manslaughter after an actress died following a party at his house. He was acquitted after three trials and the jury wrote a formal letter apologizing for the charges, but his career never recovered. His films were at first banned - the ban was lifted after a year - and he was mostly ostracized by the community. He died at 46..

In 1939, at the age of 18 years old, Helen was alive when in May, Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length animated film, reached a total international gross of $6.5 million which made it (to then) the most successful sound film of all time. First released in December 1937, it was originally dubbed "Disney's Folly" but the premiere received a standing ovation from the audience. At the 11th Academy Awards in February 1939, Walt Disney won an Academy Honorary Award - a full-size Oscar statuette and seven miniature ones - for Snow White.
