CONWAY - Helen Patricia Blackmon Privette, 82, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Agape Hospice in Conway, SC. She was born in Marion, SC, daughter of the late Irvin and Bertha Collins Blackmon. She was predeceased by her brother, Delano Blackmon; her sister, Marietta Blackmon Lawhon; and her husband, Henry Privette. Mrs. Privette resided in Florence most of her life and worked for Florence District 1 schools, and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. For the last five years, she lived in Conway and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by her three children, Mark and Lucy Privette, of Tampa, FL, Alan and Omerea Privette (grandchildren, Jesse Privette, Kelly Clemons, and Robbie Clemons) of Florence, SC, and Robert and Melda Privette Ford (grandchildren, Robbie Ford and Samantha Rabon) of Conway, SC. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Florence. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
