My mother's mother died when my mother was 7 years old. She was placed in a catholic orphanage with her 2 sisters, rose 5 and Mary just an infant. She stayed in the orphanage until age 11 when she was.moved in with her aunt to help with her aunt's children. She cooked, cleaned and watched her siblings and 8 of her cousins. She was sexually assaulted by her aunt's husband. She was an avid reader. She loved bingo. she was the.strongest woman I have ever known. She, on her own, pulled herself up, raised three kid, 2 boys and a girl, owned her own home and traveled the world. She didn't marry well. My father left my mother in 1960. He sent no money for support. Luckily my father, Sylvester lonca died in 1961. Because he was dead, my mother got social security. Henrietta was a good.mother, loving, funny, strong and intelligent she has three children, Michael Robert, Sylvester JR and Nadine lonca Burt.
