Henry Charles Nannen IV was born to Henry Charles Nannen III and Ruth White. he had a brother, Richard "Dickie" Nannen and one sister, Betty J. Nannen.
Henry Nannen IV married Shirley Lucille McDowell in July of 1968 in Harris County, Texas and they divorced. They didn't have children. He then married Dianna L. Deggs in July of 1978 in Harris County Texas. They divorced as well.

In 1949, in the year that Henry C. Nannen IV was born, comedian Milton Berle hosted the first telethon show. It raised $1,100,000 for cancer research and lasted 16 hours. The next day, newspapers, in writing about the event, first used the word "telethon."
In 1951, Henry was just 2 years old when on April 5th, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg (husband and wife) were sentenced to death for treason. They were executed on June 19th. American citizens, they were convicted of spying for the Soviet Union. Their two young sons were adopted by a high school teacher and his wife.
In 1966, Henry was 17 years old when on September 8th, the first Star Trek episode, "The Man Trap," was broadcast on NBC. The plot concerned a creature that sucked salt from human bodies. The original series only aired for 3 seasons due to low ratings.
In 1984, Henry was 35 years old when due to outrage about "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (it seemed too "dark" to many and it was rated PG), a new rating was devised - PG-13. The first film rated PG-13 was "Red Dawn".
In 1990, when he was 41 years old, on April 24th, the Hubble telescope was launched into space after long delays due to the Challenger explosion. An optical flaw was found within weeks of launch but was fixed within three years. The discoveries made possible by the Hubble have contributed to scientists' understanding of the universe.
