My mother stated that Olga Zmarzlik was her best friend, prior and during WW2, as she lost touch with the family for many years, I decided to track them in the USA. During a visit to the USA I called in to meet the family in Detroit. That was the first and only time that I met Henry, at first glance, he was a dishy man with good looks, a confident personality and full of charm, we spend several hours communicating about various experiences. Together with Bill Zmarzlik (Olga's husband) they drove me to the airport, on leaving Detroit I felt a closeness to the family. Years later, when researching my own family tree I discovered that Henry was my first cousin... how sad that I did not know.
