    Henry Erlewein was born to Michael Erlewein (1851 - 1925) and Christina Weries (1851 - 1934). Weries was also spelled Weyres or Weiers. Both parents were born in Germany. He had siblings Mary, Angela, Emma, Louisa, and Joseph Erlewein. Henry Erlewein married Rose Buschmann (1884 - 1963) on June 27, 1905 in La Crosse, Wisconsin. They had three children: Evalyn R. (1907 - 2000), Irene M. (1909 - 1986), and Henry Victor Erlewein (1913 - 1991). Henry and Rose died three months apart.
