Henry Maurice Corkin was born on March 25, 1922 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents Zalman Samuel Corkin (1886-) and Lena D. Corkin (1889-1971). He had two sisters and they grew up in Boston. At the time of his registration for the draft on June 30, 1942, in Suffolk, Massachusetts he was 20 years old and resided in Dorchester, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He was employed by the U.S. Government Department of Commerce on Bailey St in Dor Mass. On November 27, 1942, Henry enlisted in the United States Army in Boston, Massachusetts. His enlistment fell under the category of selectees, specifically enlisted men. Henry was married to Marilyn R Bronstein (1925-2018) and they had four children together.
