Oh How I miss this man dearly. I always called him grandpa Tata or just Tata because I was always young when running around Great Grandma Rose & Great Grandpa Henry's house. I just remember them both having this sweetness about them. It's like no matter what chaos was cast on them, you would never know because they accepted it with such grace and responsibility. They took on others as it was in their nature to help out whoever was in need. If you saw a bunch a nephews & nieces running around their house it was normal. If you smelled tortillas, beans, and rice going in the kitchen you knew that you were at Tata's and Nana's. They kept everyone fed, even if you weren't hungry. If you looked to skinny, you were eating! I was young when I was running around & adventuring with my cousins at the house but I will never forget how strong my Great Grandmother was. She handled her house. She meant business. I will never forget their gentleness and how specifically Tata would take the time to connect with you. You didn't have to talk always sometimes just sitting there in silence with Tata was our way of communicating. It was our way of understanding each other, a certain peace in the calm of the chaos. I miss his genuine love & hugs. I did not get much time with him but the time I did get, I understood that we would always be connected, and I knew that in each silence of each chaos in life he would be offering me some peace with the moments we have shared. I'm blessed to have such caring guides. I miss you TATA. Many Blessings.
