Grandpa to me, Herman was my Greatgrandfather. He passed when I was 10 years old. He lived with my Grandparents, (his daughter) Harriet and Irwin Hinze on Noyes Street in Evanston, IL. They also had a house on Fox Lake and that is where most of my memories of Grandpa are from. He was a fisherman and taught us grandchildren how it was done. He even tied my younger brother to the bench seat on the pier, with a bamboo pole in his hand for hours. Todd now loves fishing because of him! Grandpa also played a good game of horseshoes, as I recall. Those were wonderful Summers growing up with him!
