  • Nationality & Locations

Hilda was a German born Jew and lived in Germany for her entire life, up until the Nazi's came along and forced most Jews into either hiding, captivity, or to completely flee the county. Hilda, with the help of her husband Leopold, managed to flee to Shanghai with her entire family and lived there for a few years, before taking the Conte Bianacamano to San Francisco, where they lived for a few months, until Hilda's brother Alfred managed to move to Massachusetts and convinced the rest of the family to settle there. Massachusetts was in fact a safe haven for Jews, and still is to this day. Hilda would frequently visit Germany from time to time after the Nazi's were defeated, along with visiting China, but she still remained in Massachusetts for the rest of her life.
  • Religious Beliefs

Hilda was born to a wealthy Jewish family in Bayreuth. The family was mostly liberal, still practicing Jewish holidays and following some traditions, but they were very far from Orthodox and they kept their religion to themselves.
  • Military Service

Hilda's son was a veteran, conveniently stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
  • Professional Career

Hilda was a housewife for most of her life.
