She had siblings Francis William Aburrow, Amelia Eliza Aburrow, Selina Catherine (Aburrow) Riley, Ethel Maud (Aburrow) Kelly, Alfred Mannell Aburrow, and Harold Aburrow. She married Otto Albert Engelhardt in 1913, and had children Otto Harold Englehardt and William Albert Englehart. Hilda Engelhardt died at age 77 years old in 1967 in Melbourne.
