He married Sadie Trent, and had children Irene Trent Yoder, Ada Yoder, Mary Emerick, Millard Yoder, Orville Yoder, Ruth Yoder, Earnest Yoder, Royden Yoder, William Yoder, and Ray Yoder. Hiram Yoder died at age 73 years old on April 8, 1956.
