She has siblings Steven Harper Pinkley, Christopher H Pinkley, Mary H Pinkley, and John H Pinkley. Holleen was baptized on February 6, 1962 at Army Navy Beach in San Juan, El Cinco County, San Juan Puerto Rico. She married Joe E Savage on October 11, 1988 in Bell County, TX and they later divorced in June 1980. Holleen Cassady has children Heather JoAnna Savage and James Edward Savage.

    My maternal grandmother is 100% Danish - both her parents immigrated from Denmark in late 1880's. My maternal great-grandfather, John Harper immigrated from Wales. His wife, Maritta Richardson was old New England English/Irish/Scots mix. My paternal grandmother Gladys True had 8 ancestors that come over on the Mayflower!!! I am actually descended from Adam on both sides of my family tree but do not have all documentation for that - more "family history/word of mouth".

    1950-1951 - Was born Ft George G Meade Maryland, as was my brother Steve. My dad was stationed there. 1951-1952 - We lived in Eureka Springs AR while my dad was in Korea. 1953-1957 - When he got back from Korea, we were stationed at Ft Lee Virginia. My brother & sister were born there 1957-1963 we were stationed at Ft Brooke, Old San Juan Puerto Rice where my brother Chis was born. 1963-1968 - Ft Polk Louisiana. We lived in DeRidder were my dad retired from the Army & bought his first restaurant. 1969-1970 - Ft Polk where I married Sgt Joe Savage, a Vietnam vet. My daughter Heather was born here. 1970-1973 - Amarillo, Tx & Owen Co Ky. My son was born 1971 in Lexington Ky 1973-1975 - DeRidder La 1975-1978 - Nashville TN 1979 - 1981 - Longview TX - divorced Joe 1981 - 1983 DeRidder, La 1983-1990 Ft Hood Tx where I married Spec 4 Terry Cassady, active-duty Army. 1990 - 2007 Houston TX - worked at Continental Airlines retiring in '07 2007-2016 - Holliday TX 2016 - present - Eureka Springs Arkansas
  • Early Life & Education

    Graduated 1968 from DeRidder High School. Graduated Career Academy in Houston Tx 1969 as Dental Assistant. Attended McNeese State College in Lake Charles, Louisiana in 1969. Left when marriage/baby took time. Attended various colleges to audit interesting subjects. Having children & moving regularly put a stop to formal attendance learning but did stop me from taking correspondence courses when I could.

    Holly was raised "Army Protestant" until family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Feb. 1962 in Ft. Brooke, San Juan Puerto Rico. Still a member & still has a testimony to the truthfulness of the Gospel.
  • Military Service

    My father was a veteran of World War II, Korea & Vietnam. He was career Army retiring in 1968 after 25 years. My maternal grandfather Wilkie Harper, a vet of the expedition to capture Pancho Villa & World War I - He was active Iowa National Guard from 1918 - 1947. He rose to the rank of Colonel during World War II. He retired from the NG in 1947 after 29 years when he moved Ames Iowa to Carroll County Arkansas I was married both times to military men. Joe Savage was a veteran of 3 tours in Vietnam. Terry Cassady was Army but never saw combat. Unfortunately, he deserted when Kuwait/Desert Storm started in Nove 1990 & I never saw him again.
