    Homer’s parents, Victor and Lena Anson, owned an apple orchard, and several acres including lake front property along Pine Like in Doster, Michigan. It was at this farmhouse that Home and his two sisters were born.

    Homer bought a dump truck and worked building roads. He wanted to be a farmer. One year Homer and Beulah planted and harvested a crop of potatoes. Homers father passed away and with the money they received from the estate and the money they received from the potato crop, was enough for a down payment for a 85 acre farm in Plainwell.
  • Personal Life & Family

    Homer loved being near the water. Many picnics with Homers 16 foot boat were on the summer calendars. He also loved to be with his family. Every Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, 4th of July, birthday and for no particular reason, there were get togethers.
