    Ike was not religious, Ike was a strong believer in the saving power of Jesus the Christ, His death on the cross and His resurrection to eternal life. This is not religious it is Faith in a God eternal. Ike was a meek & kind man. A good sense of humor and was one to give of himself when he felt he could make a difference in someone’s life. He was not Baptist, Catholic, or Presbyterian, he was a believer in His Lord and King.

    Ike was a sergeant in the army. He served in Korea as a communications officer in Soul managing a central phone center.
  • Professional Career

    Ike sold fish near his home in Parish Wisconsin as a boy. As an adult he worked as an assistant manager for Kinney Shoes in Southern California. Then a company in Watts, Los Angeles named Consolidated Nut & Bolt as a shop supervisor. Lastly as a department manager at K-Mart in Bakersfield, California.
  • Personal Life & Family

    I was what I call a tinker. He was a hands on learner as he taught himself his various skills. He liked upholstery and taught himself how by re-covering the seats in his car. He like to work on cars and had a live for anything on four wheels and powered by an engine. He loved many of the cars at that time. He fondly spoke of all the cars he had owned over the years. As well as his first ride in a neighbor’s Packard when he was a boy. He liked to fix things, figure out how they worked and ways to reuse things to make something he needed. He was a very resourceful guy. After he retired Ike started painting in acrylics. His subject matter was diverse and he painted landscapes, flowers, dogs and all sorts of lovely images. He loved to paint.
