Ira Otinger of Horton, Marshall County, Alabama was born on May 22, 1890 to Lorenza Otinger and Louisa Black Otinger. He married Ellar (Knight) Otinger, and had children Chalmer Ray Otinger and Arvil Otinger. Ira Otinger died at age 76 years old in October 1966.
