Lois Greensweight Salem Sunbeam, Salem, New Jersey - 3 May 2004 IRA R. FORSHAY JR. Ira R. Forshay Jr., 81 of Woodstown, died Sunday May 2, 2004 in the Friends Home at Woodstown. born in Wildwood, NJ he was the son of the late Ira G. and Hermena Ritter Forshay. A US Army veteran of WWII, Mr. Forshay retired in 1978 as a ballistics technician at DuPont Chambers Works after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Woodstown Presbyterian Church. Mr. Forshay is survived by his daughter, Jeanette Fraser of Valencia, CA; his brother, Lee Forshay of Medford, MA; and his sisters, Dorothy Shoemaker and Marian Forshay, both of Pennsville. He was predeceased by his wife, Georganna (nee Filer) in December of 1987 and his sister, Lillian Curriden. Services for Mr. Forshay will be held 2 pm Thursday, May 6th in the H.T.Layton & Son Home for Funerals, 102 S. Main St. Woodstown, where friends are invited to call from 1 to 2 pm. Interment will be in Lawnside Cemetery in Pilesgrove. Memorial contributions in Mr. Forshay's memory may be made to Faith Farm, 21 Stretch Rd., Bridgeton, NJ 08302-9295.
