She married Edward F Galvin Jr on June 16, 1973 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church 207 Tompkins Street, in Syracuse, Onondaga County, and they were married until Irene's death on April 30, 1979 in Syracuse. She had children Natalie J Galvin and Julie Galvin. Irene Galvin was buried on May 3, 1979 at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Cemetery Salisbury Rd, in Syracuse.
