She was married to William Arthur Marshall in 1951 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, and they were together until Irene's death on September 4, 1997 in Abington, Montgomery County. She had children Kenneth William Marshall, Karen Irene Beem, Kriste Ann Meskill, and Kelli Louise Marshall.
