Irene Rose Barsony was born on March 13, 1915, in Alpha, New Jersey. In 1936 she married Michael Joseph Popovice in New Jersey. They had three children: Renie Popovice, Marcella (died in 2005,) and Ruth (died in 2009.) Ruth's daughters - Irene's granddaughters - are Kristy Ennis Alfano and Kelly Harbourt. Irene Rose Barsony Popovice died on February 11, 2006, at the age of 90.
