    Isabelle (“Ibby” or “Polly” on marriage record) Webb, daughter of William and Jane Webb, (was born October 24, 1811 in Warren County, Tennessee). Married Samuel Blue (on March 9, 1837 in Springfield, Sangamon County, Illinois; this record is kept in the courthouse in Springfield (confirmed on Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, which states that the marriage was not required to be performed in the county of the bride or groom’s residence). Samuel and Isabelle lived in Keokuk County, Iowa, had ten children there, and then moved to Missouri.)

In 1811, in the year that Isabelle (Webb) Blue was born, on November 7th, the Battle of Tippecanoe was fought. American troops led by William Henry Harrison - then Governor of the Indiana Territory, later the 9th President of the United States - defeated the Native American warriors. A confederacy of Native American tribes opposed U.S. expansion into Indian Territory. but Tecumseh was gone, recruiting troops, and there was no military leader on the Native American side. The battle lasted 2 hours.
