    Mr. Ivory C. Brookshire, 77, entered into eternal life on Monday, June 23, 2003, at Veterans Medical Center in Hampton. A native of Zema, Miss., he lived in Hampton for 55 years. Mr. Brookshire retired in 1959 from the armed forces after serving 16 years with the Navy and Air Force. He received an Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal, Korean Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and United Nations Service Medal. Mr. Brookshire was the owner of Brookshire's Antique House and Sewing De'Cor in Hampton. He was a former member of Lincoln Park Baptist Church in Hampton.His wife, Vera R. Brookshire, two brothers and one sister precede him in death. He leaves two sons, Alvin LaVon of Virginia Beach, Dwayne Ervin of Hampton; one daughter, Annette L. Dawson of Suffolk; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Brookshire, two sisters, Bernadine Lee and Jewel MacMillan, all from Milwaukee, Wis.; a host of other relatives and friends. A homegoing service will be at noon on Friday, June 27, at Smith Brothers Funeral Chapel. Interment at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble by 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be today from 3 to 6 p.m. at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Hampton -- Ph: 723-4117.
