Jack Dinkoff's History: 1914 - 1998

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

His father was Morris, and his mother was Rachel, maiden name sunshine (she passed in 1935) Morris passed in 1953. Jack was ALWAYS known as a man of his word. He moved to Chicago in 1939, and served in the US Military during WWII. After WWII he met my mother at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago in 1947, andf it was love at first sight. 2 months later they got married. Jack The Hat was known by that name because he ALWAYS wore a hat in public. That is how men in his era worked it. And I still miss him to this day. I am his only son, Larry, and at age 67 I won't be passing on the name due to no children. RIP Dad!
