I posted elsewhere on this biography of Jack that he was engaged to my mom. His death was a real tragedy in my mom's young life. Jack was engaged to my mom before he was killed on Okinawa. I can fill you in on some details, including his birth date. When I was much younger, I actually met his parents (Marie and Ray), as my mom stayed in contact with them after he died.
