Shippee Sisters

2 of Bian and Muriel Shippee's daughters. That's my Mom Jacqueline Muriel Shippee Corcoran in the green hat and her sister Jeanne Jeanette Shippee Rodrigue in the blue hat. The event was my wedding.

Jackie & Richard Corcoran

Mom and Dad were married in 1942. This was taken at Granny Dorion's Gage Street home on the Division Street side of the house. Mom would have been 17 and Dad 22. He was a right waist gunner on a "flying fortress" bomber stationed in England. He did his 25 missions over Germany and France and was returned to Mississippi to finish his tour of duty. Mom met him there and they had me in 1945 at the Gulfport, Mississippi air base. When his tour was over they returned with me to North Bennington, Vermont where they lived for many years and had 7 more children.

The Richard Corcoran Family

Mom (Jackie), Dad (Richard),Mike and Anna in the back & Steve and Rick in the front. Pat in Mom's arms. There were 3 more kids to come later. Dad really didn't care to have his picture taken but I tend to think the reason he's not smiling is Mom's hair. She cut it with Aunt Jeanne Rodrigue's help and he was not happy. Her hair had been long and beautiful but too much to care for with 5 children.
