A synopsis of James Alfred Stoodley's life

When James Alfred Stoodley was born on 12 December 1857 in Clapton (near Midsomer Norton), Somerset, his father, Robert, was 33 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 25. He married Emma Sarah Thomas in 1877 in Amesbury, Wiltshire. They had 11 children in 21 years. He died on 20 March 1930 in Ludgershall, Wiltshire, at the age of 72, and was buried there.
