He married Grace Helen Mary (Buncle) Morris in 1898. They had children James Alfred Morris, Edwin John Morris, Lily Victoria Agnes Morris, Richard Walter Morris, Mary Hilda Sophia Morris, and Leslie Dixon Morris. He would also marry Grace Helen Mary (Buncle) Morris in 1898. James Morris died at age 83 years old on April 26, 1953 in Camperdown.
