    James “Jimmy” B. King , 65, formerly of El Paso, and Horizon Tx., passed away March 14, 2015 in El Paso, Tx. Jimmy was born August 14th, 1949 in W. Hollywood, CA., was a graduate of Andress High School and EPCC. Jimmy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return he worked at Farah Mfg working his way to the position of Plant Manager. Jimmy was an icon in the El Paso Apparel scene as he continued his career with Brittania, Lee Jeans and Wrangler. Lee Jeans and Wrangler both being operated by VF Jeanswear, Jimmy managed the last remaining apparel sewing plant in the US which was located in Fabens, Tx. He was then relocated to the La Rosita Plant outside of Torreon, Mx and then to the Tekax Plant in the Yucatan. After his retirement from VF Jeanswear he returned to Torreon, Mx with his companion Maria Luisa Herrera Villalpando. Jimmy was an Eagle Scout and continued his love of scouting in Horizon by volunteering with Pack 151 and Troop 51. Jimmy’s passion in life was always boating, fishing and the Dallas Cowboys. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Doris and Louis ‘Dee’ King. He is survived by his companion Maria Luisa (Ma’D) Herrera Villalpando Torreon, Chih., Mx., daughter Cheryl Green of AZ, step-son Jim Pharr, brothers Don, Shawn Tracey, and Bryan Tracey several beloved nieces,nephews, ex-wife Becki and friends. Services have already been performed.
