    JIM MODESITT Jim Modesitt, age 44, of Rowlett, passed away September 29, 2003. He was born on April 3, 1959 in Toledo Ohio, to James Humbert and Mabel Anna (Williams) Modesitt. Jim worked in jewelry sales for Kay Jewelers in Valley View Mall in Dallas. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rockwall, where he enjoyed teaching fifth-grade Sunday school class. He is survived by his wife: Karen Modesitt of Rowlett; son: Alex John James Modesitt of Rowlett; mother: Mabel Modesitt of Rowlett; sister: Annette Modesitt Landy and husband Gerry of South Orange, New Jersey; niece and nephew: Hannah and Max Landy; and cousin: Janese Tennant of Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 2, 2003, at First Baptist Church, M.L. Jones Chapel, 610 S. Goliad Street, Rockwall, with Pastor Steve Swofford and Brother James McClothlin officiating. A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the Damascus Cemetery in Lindale. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. - Tyler Morning Telegraph (Tyler, Texas) Wednesday, October 1, 2003 on page 12.
