He had siblings Ella Bertha (Flight) Oriley, Thomas Edwin Flight, Ada Helena Flight, and George William Flight. He married Annie Nicholson Eaglesim in 1906, and had children Clarence Charles Flight, William Robert Flight, James Harold Flight, and Reginald Edward Flight. James Flight died at age 83 years old on March 29, 1964 in Swan Hill, Swan Hill Rural City County.
