He married Sandra Lynn Stachelek in 1976 in Lansdale, Montgomery County and they later divorced in 1995 in Lansdale. They had children Andrew Mark Stachelek, Jason Richard Stachelek, and Lauren Marie Scardino. He would also marry Brenda Ann Stachelek in 2006 in Perkiomenville, Montgomery County.
