    Rev. Jim Goins VIGO PARK - Rev. Jim H. Goins, 71, was dead on arrival at Swisher Memorial Hospital Sunday from an apparent heart attack. Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Hart, Pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church in Tuscon [sic], Ariz., officiating. Pallbearers were J.C. McMurry, Alvin Fleming, Pete Partlow, Gene Latham, Murray May and Ed Hart. Funeral services were held by Wallace Funeral HOme. Body was taken after the services to the Newnie Ellis Funeral Home in Midland and Memorial Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Bellview Baptist Church in Midland with Rev. Jimmy Stovall and Rev. McGee officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven Cemetery in Midland under the direction of Newnie Ellis Funeral Home. He was born March 14, 1909 in Decatur, Arkansas. He married Claire Campbell on July 18, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He came to Vigo Park in August of 1976 from Show Low, Arizona. He was the present Pastor of the Vigo Park Baptist Church, member of the Midland Masonic Lodge No. 623 A.M.F.M., South and Southwest Who's Who for 10 years, missionary for the Home Mission Board in Atlanta, Ga., worked with the Southern Baptist convention of Arizona, pastored the Bellview Baptist Church in Midland from 1949 to 1957. Survived by his wife of the home; two daughters: Verla Lee Goins of Midland, and Mrs. Robert (Ruby) Sutton of Odessa; three sisters, Marian Evans, Dora Hale, Laura Nelson, all of Nevada, Missouri; two brothers, John Goins of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ted Goins of Shawnee, Oklahoma; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Family suggests memorials to the Grand Canyon Baptist College, 3300 West Camelback, Phoenix, Arizona, % Paul Barnes. -The Tulia Herald, Vol. 73, No. 1, Thursday, January 1, 1981, Page 11.
