James H Donahue's History: 1923 - 1993

Uncover new discoveries and connections today by sharing about people & moments from yesterday.
  • Introduction

I only have vague memories of the man, as he was actually no part of our lifes. We were adopted by George D. Welty at an early age, and I only saw him several times during my adult life. He was a very hard, bad tempered man and it was easy for me to cross him when I was in my 20's. But it was more like 2 mules butting heads. I know that he died of Face Skin Cancer in Jackson Ohio. I believe my older sister Kathie did visit with him during his hospital stay. He kept all family business very hush hush, as he said, don't go diggin into the past unless you're prepared for the skeletons. What we "didn't" know wouldn't hurt us, or so he said.
