James Haney Lindle is the son of Charles Bernard Lindle (1892-1958) and Rebecca J White (born 1896). He had a brother, Harry Charles Lindle (1918-2006). They grew up in Ludlow, Kenton, Kentucky. He joined the military on February 6, 1946 and served in the US Army Air Force until his discharge date of July 25, 1947. James was married twice in his life. Once to Elizabeth Jean Smith (1926-2007). The couple had children together; James Edward (1945-1945), Jerry L (born 1946), and Johnny W Lindle (born 1948). He also was married to Lila Marie Waldron (1924-2005). They did not have children together, and James and Lila divorced in September of 1971.
