James Hood of Nport Australia was born in 1858 in Indented Head, Greater Geelong City County, VIC to James Hood and Mary Anne (Hughes) Hood. He had siblings Daniel Hood and Isabella (Hood) Marchant. He married Margaret Cameron Hood, and had a child William James Hood. James Hood died at age 85 years old on June 11, 1944 in Newport, City of Hobsons Bay County.
