James Johnnie Mathis 1938 - c. 1984

James Mathis of Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana was born on April 28, 1938 to Lora Ethel Mathis and Charles Emery Mathis. He had siblings Leona Chasteen, Nellie Vibbart, Blanche McCaully, and Hazel Cain. He married Sarah Rosanna (Shake) Mathis, and they were married until Sarah's death in December 1971. He had children Kimberly Sue (Mathis) Shumaker, Lora Irene (Mathis) Bechtel, and Anita G (Mathis) Bevers. James Mathis died at age 46 years old circa July 31, 1984 at Bloomington Hospital Place of death, in Bloomington, USA County, and was buried at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, Daviess County.
