Back of a photo found advertising Landy Photography in Cincinnati, Ohio. It says:
"Awards at the World's Fairs France, America, Austria and American Institute, New York...208 Fourth St., Cincinnati"
James Landy was born in Pennsylvania in 1838 and died in Cincinnati November 18, 1897. He was assisted in his work by his wife, Blandina Kemmerer. He was a photographer from 1861 until his death, and did indeed, win numerous awards.
After his death, Blandina lived with her children and died in Ohio in March, 1931.
Date & Place: in Cincinnati, Ohio USA
