He had siblings Charles Sloan, George Henry Sloan, Cornelius Albert Sloan, James Stephen Sloan, Nellie Frances Sloan, John Patrick Sloan, Ruby May Sloan, Harold Leo Sloan, Kevin Vincent Sloan, Paul Sloan, Lorna Rose Sloan, Sylvester Sloan, Nora Margaret Sloan, Lily Agnes Greerdine Sloan, and Kathleen Ada Sloan. James Sloan died at age 78 years old in 1966 in Mont Albert.
