    He was my Grandmother's brother "Jim". He was preceded in death by his father Jerome, his mother Vivian a. (Berg) Geisenhoff, his sister's: Barbara Peterson and Jeanne Valarie Shaw, and his neice Valarie Jeanne Grace. He was survived by his wife carol, son's mark and keith, grandchildren Dan, tina, and Devon and his brother's john and earl, and sister carol emmeck.

In 1935, in the year that James Robert Geisenhoff was born, on August 14, the Social Security Act was signed into law. The purpose was to "provide federal assistance to those unable to work". The law established the Social Security Administration whose primary focus was to "provide aid for the elderly, the unemployed, and children". The Act survived many Supreme Court challenges and the Administration continues until today.
